Overview:

Council Activ 75g is a post-emergent herbicide developed by Bayer Crop Science, formulated with a combination of Triafamone (20%) and Ethoxysulfuron (10%). This dual-action formulation provides comprehensive control of a broad spectrum of weeds, ensuring healthier rice crops and improved yields.​

The herbicide works by inhibiting the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme in susceptible weeds, disrupting amino acid synthesis and leading to weed death. Its systemic action allows it to be absorbed by the weed leaves and translocated within the plant, ensuring effective control

Council Activ is suitable for use in both transplanted and direct-seeded rice systems, offering flexibility and convenience to farmers.​

🛠️ How to Use:

• Dosage: Apply 225 grams per hectare (approximately 90 grams per acre).

• Application:

  • Mix the recommended dose in 100–120 liters of water per acre.

  • Apply as a foliar spray using appropriate spraying equipment.

  • Ensure thorough coverage of the weed foliage.

• Timing:

  • Apply 10–15 days after rice planting or when weeds are at the 2–4 leaf stage.

  • Ensure the field is drained of standing water before application and that the soil has adequate moisture.​
